The Huda lab is seeking passionate scientists and trainees who are motivated by important questions and have the dedication, work ethic, and attitude necessary to address them in a systematic and scientifically rigorous manner.

Postdoctoral fellows

To apply, please send: 1) a detailed CV; 2) a cover letter describing your previous research, future research goals, and interest in our lab; and 3) contact information for three references. Prior experience with one or more of following techniques is highly desirable: in-vivo or ex-vivo physiology techniques (two-photon microscopy, slice electrophysiology, extracellular recordings), mouse surgeries, mouse behavior, and coding in MATLAB and/or Python.

 

Graduate students

We are looking for highly curious and motivated graduate students to join the lab. Students are accepted from various programs across the Rutgers University - New Brunswick campus, including from the Molecular Biosciences and the Neuroscience programs. Please contact Rafiq directly (rafiq.huda@rutgers.edu) to set up a rotation.

 

Undergraduate students

We always encourage interested undergraduate students to join the lab! To be considered, please send along your (unofficial) transcript and a statement (~1 page) describing why you are interested in our work, previous research experience (if applicable), and your future goals. Special consideration will be given to undergraduates with coding experience (MATLAB and/or python).
